Casa da AIDS: The destruction of an excellent service by Geraldo Alckmin

This is the list of megalomaniacs. If you wanted to have your name on the sign, all you had to do was change the sign on the Frei Caneca building.

Last Friday I was at the Casa da AIDS, where I have been receiving treatment for seventeen years and, therefore, since the Casa da AIDS was the project of excellence in treatment for HIV carriers and AIDS patients.

Initially, this creature, The Elected Governor Geraldo Alckmin, seems to be governing our lives in the State of São Paulo since the passing of Mario Covas, a worthy man, with whom I had the opportunity to spend fifteen minutes. This man who is elected in the first round in all elections in an incomprehensible way, a kind of “Poltergeist Effect”, closed the AIDS house and exiled us to Emílio Ribas. For me the feeling of orphanhood.

I spent 4 hours in line to collect medication and, under pressure, the aka Pastel de Chuchu felt the need to reopen the AIDS house (there is much more to this, and I know what it is, but I do not betray the trust of people who clarify the unclarifiable for me).

I want to make a comment here. Once I was at one of the Beneficência Portuguesa outpatient clinics with a doctor I was seeing and, after I had informed him about my serology, he asked the basic cholesterol, CD4 and Viral Load levels and asked me where I was being treated, and I said… at “Casa”, and he made the following comment about Casa da AIDS, not yet victimized by this metastatic cancer called Geraldo Alckmin:

It is the best treatment and reception center for people living with HIV, as well as a very advanced research center in South America, and I still say that it is quite possible that it is all of that in the entire Southern Hemisphere!

I think the Dude sees us like that. I don't think he has an infected relative or friend. That is if it is true that something like this builds a family and consolidates friendships. A good friendship is the one that finances campaigns. Quoting the book “The Perfume”, certain creatures “encapsulate themselves and round themselves off, trying not to draw attention to their parasitic life by giving the world only their excrement”

Pastel de chayote did what was necessary, what was possible, what was impossible to do what was unnecessary. They did not renew the lease on a building that belongs to a reputable company, which did what it could, as they knew what was happening there, that it was important and that it should have remained there.

I don't know why Fernando Haddad had his name on the plaque for the “reopening of the AIDS House”, completely disfigured, where many of the very important employees working with patients simply didn't go. I want to remember another circumstance.

Once I arrived at the door of the AIDS House completely exhausted, having difficulty climbing the stairs and was seen by the receptionist at least twenty meters away from me, the receptionist recognized me, realized that I was not well, called two nurses, who already They came with the wheelchair. My blood pressure was 19*22 (very high and convergent); I was on the verge of cardiac arrest... My doctor at that time was Dr. Sigrid and, very foresightedly, she prescribed me around 30 drops of novalgin and constant monitoring of my blood pressure.... This took about three hours and she explained to me that if she had given me medication to lower the pressure, there would have been a lack of blood in the brain and I would have had a stroke.

There was the adherence group, from whose actions I myself benefited, when, after a disastrous emotional shock, I simply abandoned treatment and as soon as there was my appointment and I didn't go, they called me, lovingly, talked and I reconnected. , even if partially to reality. I came back to understand that letting myself die is a passive form of suicide and…

If this had happened last week, my ashes would already be in Praça da República, my home, “the home of those who lived walking”… (…)…

What I saw last Friday I'm going to try to sketch here with light paints and, honestly, my desire was to peel off the potato and go for bad language, because only there are the words that best and perfectly classify and qualify this Troll.

The person was humble and, unfortunately, without intellectual resources.

Her doctor, a resident, scheduled her appointment for a certain date 180 days later. He himself knew that his residence was ending and he didn't warn him.

And the poor woman was there trying to understand what was going to happen, last Friday, the seventeenth of February 2017. She asked to speak to the social worker and she went to a meeting and wouldn't come back... oops... The AIDS House Do you only have one social worker? Well, there are well over five thousand patients!

Well, the girl at the registry proposed another date for her, in five or six months, at a time when the patient needed to be at work and, if she missed it, she would run the risk of losing her job...

I didn't see how it ended, but it certainly didn't end well.

I am sure that the people who created the Casa da AIDS (I miss the Zerbine Foundation) did not idealize or imagine that such a thing could happen, as the document copied and pasted below says in full.

I think he stays in power more or less like this

Cláudio Souza, 60 years old, 30 of them with HIV

Do not give up! Resist, persist and insist!

Resilience is the daily fruit of daily struggle. At the point where you surrender, resilience also ends there.

And you will think: Is this what I fought so hard for? Can't stop.

Can't stop! Giving up is sitting down to wait for death, with the permission of the poet Raul Seixas, with a wide open mouth full of teeth, waiting for death to arrive."
